“Rainy Day”

As rainy season is my favourite season and I got pleasure when the drops of rain passes from my face to heart.I consider it as a signal for my heart to be calm at the time of Anger. As I am a pedestrian and used to go to School on foot,I enjoy atleast some views of Nature.

About my poem:

It was the Rainy Day when I was going to School for extraclass. Without any raincoat and umbrella,I was going in tune while my feet were touching the dirty water in puddles. Then a cool breeze passed my hairs and I started feeling cold because of my wet clothes. After a little visit to rain,I reached to gain knowledge at extraclass.Totally,I enjoyed the visit very much.
This poem is based on my imagination, creativity and according to my visit.
Lets read and enjoy…

Rainy Day

On one morning,
As it was raining,
While the drops and road were chattering,
But I was only wandering,

Walking on the foot,
Since Sadness was only the root,
But the blessings falling from heaven,
Make me feel so even,

So many puddles on the road,
Some so narrow and some so broad,
The path was also full of holes,
And full of many tiny stones,

Sky full of dark clouds,
Making sounds too loud,
The water falling from leaves,
On the ground,a lazy snake creeps,

Dancing trees on the way,
Everywhere I found only clay,
As the weather becomes so grey,
On that long rainy day,

Finally I feel so relaxed,
And free from being dashed,
After this journey so long,
Returned my working capacity so strong.

Puddles on the road

This is a poem by me to describe the beautiful rain.the rain is gentle, kind and at the day when it rains,it became the most glorious day.
At the road, there were many holes and puddles at the rainy day, well it looks so dirty but for small children,it is a source of joy.I consider Rainy Season as the best season to wash all our bad habits and I named it “Season of Goodness”

  1. It was enjoyable to read your nature poem. Have you tried to write a poem with the wordle list? I hope you try some of the links to see how the wordle list works.

    1. Thanx mam and I will try it soon. Infact I don’t know, what is wordle list thats why it is difficult to answer…

  2. This is a beautiful celebratrion of rain. Thank you.

  3. Dear Nikhil,
You posted in the Mr. Linky section of the Sunday Whirl so I thought you knew. Do see that box of colorful words? On the main home page here: http://sundaywhirl.wordpress.com/

The words this week #47 are: charged, trouble, accident, mars, libation, sacrificed, toll, confused, plenty, handle, ask, and settle – you do not have to use them in the order that they appear.
The promptress calls this list ‘Wordles’ and invites us to write prose or poetry using these words. You can find my response at my blogspot site here:

    Have fun!

    1. Thanx mam for your instructions! Now I have known, what I have done.
      And your poem is awesome…

  4. Ah, here is your rain post. Often the computer does not link us to where we think it should. And I am not very computer savvy. I also think at times there are fairies at work I just now noticed that this post is dated August 2011 so how could it end up in the Mr. Linky section of a post in March of 2012? This may be a question that never gets answered. But it is still nice to met you. I have been writing since 1969 – and my best advice to you is write, write, write. Even if you do not like what you write, and would rather not share it, write it anyway. Titles can be changed. Sentences rearranged. I have a friend who says that everything you write can be considered a first draft. Good luck to you as you continue in all of your studies.
All the things we experience make us whole. I was attracted to read you because you have in your copyright section that you are Little Poet NJ. Now I see that NJ is for your name. But in the United States it also represents the abbreviation of one of the states that I lived in for a time…New Jersey.
So perhaps it is karma that connects us? 🙂

  5. Mam! I wanted to show my recent poems to people as I wrote stanza poetry in 2011. So I wanted to know that how I write. To know people’s opinion,I started to find links like linky widget but I had not read the instructions in haste. But thanx to you that you introduced me Wordlers.
And I agree with you with the matter of writing. I had many recent and new poems in my note book drafted. They are waiting for me to write and complete them but I become lazy at the time of writing so they remain incompleted.
But I am working on my skills at poetry and on my English. Thank you again:-)

  6. Nice write Nikhil.
This poem is very visual. Its easy to picture what you convey through the words.
The poem makes a pleasant read of a beautiful day. Somehow, you make watching a snake believable.. 😛
That just says about the poem.

Just one advice NJ. Do some research on meter. Iambic meter for starters. It will help your flow of words a lot. It would help you to rhyme your words easily too.

Thanks for the share. Appreciate. 🙂
Feel free to visit my poems.

    1. Thanx bhaiya for being here and I’m glad that you liked my poem…
