“Lost Soul”

This poem is written for DVerse Poetics and in this poem,I tried to show the emptiness and feeling of being lost of our soul or consciousness.
Its here…

Blood spills
and empties body,
Flooded tears
give births to parody,
Body talks
to its own shadow,
Like an crop
to its dead meadow,
Broken Heart
and conciousness weep,
And somewhere soul
in the dark deep,
Grows lost
and named unknown,
tied tight with
muscles and bones,
Frustrated mind
and anxiety leads,
embroilment in
every good deed.

Would that you’ve liked to read it…..then comments please🙂 .

Sometimes there is more of a punch in the words you don’t say. This piece has left me with so many questions! Tight but poignant

Leaves me with a raw, empty feeling, an angst that’s well expressed.

So much in life is the lesson we have to learn. There is nothing worse than feeling lost in our own soul though. I feel the tension, the loneliness in this. Very image filled, good write!

You created a feeling of loss and also, of anxiety. My favorite line: “like a crop to its dead meadow.” I wish I’d thought of that simile.

Sometimes it is possible to feel that empty, drained of our very being. Dark and thoughtful indeed.
