Poem: “Rain-Drops”


Poetry Form: This poetry form is called as Etheree(al).  The etheree is an unrhymed syllable counting form,relentlessly rational, and seemingly childishly simple. You begin with a first line of one syllable, and continue for ten lines increasing the syllable count by one each line. Diagramming in syllables, this is what you get, line by line: 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10.

Drops
of Rain
stepping down
the greeny leaves
shine as glass pieces
gathered then together
transparent and delicate
as reptiles creeping on the land
Travelling from lakes,rivers and seas
finally vapourise and take re-birth.

Written for Weekend Mini Challenge of Imaginary Garden with Real Toads ..

    cool scene..i like the progression of it from the slide of the raindrop down the leaves to much larger water, cycling back to become rain once more…
