Poem: “Honest in Jail” (Prompt: “Anagram”)

I tried my full name for the anagram and finally did it!

Thy pals go without thee
and thou insist on living here
Sayin’ thou hath fallen in love
with the jail’s air
Thirty years passed by
and thou art still in the jail
Comes thine kith and kin
daily tries thy release on bail

The Jailer asks everyday
while his face does grin
Did thou,
a jailed hark thine kin?

Crushed under circumstances
Thou lived a hard life,I know
A simple-honest person in thee
and those times, already I saw
When one tried to hire thy job
inspite of money, thou accepted jail
comes thine kith and kin
daily tries thy release on bail

The Jailer asks everyday
while his face does grin
Did thou,
a jailed hark thine kin?
